Is our workshop open to the public?

No, our workshop is dedicated to creation, production, and administration. However, we open our doors to the public twice a year. For details on our open days, please check the agenda!

We understand that colors and textures may not appear the same behind a computer screen. Rest assured that all our fabrics, from our upholstery-grade velvet to our cotton poplin, are beautiful to the touch, and the colors are even more vibrant and stunning in real life. If you have any hesitations, why not give us a call? We are happy to help!

Can I sell my creations made with your fabrics?

Yes, no problem! You've bought the fabric, you can do what you like with it.  Our fabrics are prefect for creating items for sell, whether it be original clothing from our cotton jersey or cosmetics bags from our velvet borders.  They are sure to be a hit at your local market or craft fair.  Don't forget to share your photos with us, Odile loves to share in your creativity.

Where can I find an Odile Bailloeul dealer near me?

Go to the "Our stores" section.  We try to partner with independent stores to bring our beautiful original fabrics closer to you.  If you would like to see our fabrics in your local store why not ask them to contact us.

There aren't enough quantities in stock for my project, what should I do?

Whilst we try our best to keep our fabric and sewing kits in stock, we are a small company so the space se have for stock is limited. Our range of organic cotton poplin is renewed with a new collection every year. Our upholstery grade velvet is printed in France in small quantities and is restocked regularly. Additional yardage can always be pre-ordered.

We recommend that you give us a call or send us an email detailing which fabric or sewing kit you are looking for and we will let you know if your product is scheduled to be restocked.

I need a 1.5m of velvet, how do I place my order?

Our stock of upholstery grade original velvet is kept on a roll and cut to order.  If you need 1.5m of velvet for your sewing or tapiserie project then add 1m to your basket, then another 0.5. We will deliver your fabric in one piece.  If our stock level means this isn't possible we will contact you.

Where can I see the fabric sizes available?

The standard cuts for our cotton and velvet fabrics are displayed on the product page below the price. The price shown is always for the smallest cut available, in the case of our cotton poplin that is a fat quarter (45cm x 55cm), and for the velvet and the cotton jersey that is 50cm.  Click in the size box to see all available sizes.  If you want a bigger piece of fabric than the sizes shown then you can add multiples and we will deliver in one piece (whenever possible).

Can I return items bought from your site?

Disappointed or ordering error? In accordance with the law, you can return the product to us within 10 days without having to provide a reason. However the cost of postage will be at your expense. The best thing to do is to call us to discuss your problem with us :)

Are your sewing kits suitable for beginners?

Most of our sewing kits are ideal for beginners. The kits come with step by sep instructions and many of the kits also have an accompanying video to help you understand. We do have a few sewing kits aht are better suited to people who have some sewing experience but they will be clearly marked.

Unlike other sewing kits our kits do not come with a pattern that needs to be traced. The pattern is directly printed onto the fabric so all you have to do is cut it out. This method ensures that the beautiful motifs that Odile designs for the kits are always in the right place on your finished item. You bag or pouch will always look impressive once you have finished sewing.

Do you deliver to my country?

The good news is you can have access to Odile's beautiful fabrics and sewing kits where-ever you live. If you live in a country served by mondial relay (Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy ) then you can chose a delivery by them. Otherwise we use the postal service with a delivery to your residence which requires a signature.

How long will it take to get my order? Orders shipped by Mondial relay take 5-10 days to arrive. Other overseas orders may take longer depending on the destination. Delivery details will be provided by email as soon as your order is shipped

Can I order by telephone?

You can order by telephone if you are not comfortable with the internet. In this case, you can contact +33 02 51 56 24 77 and Thierry or Julia will register your order. You can pay directly by credit card or organise a bank wire.

What is the best material for making bags?

Among all the fabrics we offer, our firm velvet stands out as the best material for bag making. It is the fabric used in all our bag making kits, known for its robustness, washability, and beautiful vibrant colors. Firm velvet can be sewn using a standard sewing machine and will produce unique, original bags. It is perfect for creating handbags, tote bags, backpacks, fanny packs, or even travel bags.
